The LSEBN Major Incident Plan is a guide to assist those responsible for developing plans to manage a major incident involving a significant number of burn injured casualties, originating frm an incident within the London and South East of England network area. It also covers the burn network mutual aid response to incidents in other parts of England and Wales.
Our plans are based on national guidance published by the Department of Health.
This LSEBN Burns Major Incident Plan is not intended as a separate “Command and Control” system. The intention is to demonstrate how the burn services within the LSEBN network will provide support to existing NHS Major Incident systems, including Ambulance Services, NHS Acute and Foundation Trusts, Primary Care Trusts and Strategic Health Authorities.
